2020年7月に惜しくも死去したピーター・グリーン在籍時代の音源を集めたCD3枚組のアルバム「Transmission Impossible」（2019年発売）です。 2018年発売の「Transmission Impossible」、2019年発売のCD2枚組「Transmissions 1967-1968」などと紛らわしいタイトルですし、すでに発売されているCDアルバムと同じ内容もあるようです。 ディスク１は2019年発売の「San Francisco 1968」と同じと思われますが曲目や曲数、曲のタイトルなどが少し違うようです。 後半にはハーモニカ（ブルースハープ）奏者のポール・バタフィールド（このページの下の画像）が参加してします。 ポール・バタフィールドは1942年アメリカ合衆国シカゴの生まれ（1987年死去）で、1960年代にポール・バタフィールド・ブルース・バンドを結成し、「East-West」など傑作アルバムを発表しています。 なお、アルバムの裏面には”From a live FM broadcast recorded at the Carousel Ballroom, San Francisco, CA, 9th June 1968.”と記述されています。 ディスク2は2018年発売の「The Lost Broadcasts」や2019年発売の「Original Live Broadcasts 1968」と似たような内容です。 イギリスのラジオの番組名、放送局、放送年月日は以下のように記述されています。 01-02 - - - Top Gear, BBC radio 1,21st January 1968 03 - - - Top Gear, BBC radio 1,24th March 1968 04-06 - - - Saturday Club, BBC Radio 1,13th April 1968 07-09 - - - Top Gear, BBC radio 1,2nd June 1968 10 - - - Top Gear, BBC radio 1,7th July 1968 11 - - - The Blues Roll On, BBC Radio 3,23rd July 1968 12 - - - Radio One O'Clock, BBC Radio 1,26th August 1968 13-16 - - - Top Gear, BBC radio 1,13th October 1968 17-19 - - - Top Gear, BBC radio 1,24th November 1968 ディスク3は2019年発売の「The Warehouse Tapes」と同じ内容でしょう。 これもアルバム裏面には、”From a live FM broadcast recorded at the Warehouse, New Orleans, LA, 30th January 1970”と記述されています。 どれも音質は良好で聞きやすく、素晴らしい演奏ばかりのようです。 そうですね、ディスク2は寄せ集めの音源ですので音質はいまいちですかねえ。 この3枚組CDアルバムのトータルタイムは、ディスク1は83分39秒、ディスク2は60分6秒、ディスク3は57分21秒となっています。
