ピーター・グリーンをトリビュートした２枚組みＣＤアルバム「ラトルスネイク・ギター：ザ･ミュージック・オブ・ピーター・グリーン」。 １９９５年発売で、本作品はSHM-CD仕様の再発盤となっております。 このアルバムの解説によると、１９９５年当時このＣＤアルバムは、イギリスではばら売りで「Peter Green Songbook - A Tribute To His Work In Two Volumes」、アメリカでは２枚組み「Rattlesnake Guitar - The Music Of Peter Green」として発売されていたらしいです。 ですので本作品は、アメリカ盤が元になっているようです。 参加ミュージッシャンは多彩で、曲ごとに違っていることが多く、ピーター・グリーン本人他、フリートウッド･マックの関係者は参加してないようですね。 ほとんどピーター・グリーンの作品だと思いますが、フリートウッド・マック時代に演奏していた黒人ブルースマンの曲（ディスク１の１０曲目「Hellhound On My Trail」）も含まれているようです。 ディスク１の５曲目「Crying Won't Bring You Back」、ディスク２の４曲目「Wathcha Gonna Do」、同１４曲目「Baby When The Sun Goes Down」は、ピーター・グリーンのソロでの作品となっています。 その他、ディスク１の１２曲目「The Same Way」と同１４曲目「The Supernatural」は、ジョン・メイオール＆ブルースブレーカーズのアルバム「A Hard Road」からとなっています。 ディスク２の９曲目「Evil Woman Blues」は、１９６７年発表のオムニバス形式のアルバム「Raw Blues」からで、ピーター・グリーン＆ジョン・メイオールの演奏となっています。 で、以上の曲以外はフリートウッド・マック在籍時のナンバーとなっているようです。 このアルバムの解説によると、ゲイリー・ムーアもこのアルバムの製作に参加する予定だったらしいですが、色々な理由で参加を取りやめて、自己の作品「Blues For Greeny」をやはり１９９５年に発表しています。 このアルバムのトータル･タイムは、ディスク１が７１分４９秒、ディスク２が６４分１４秒となっています。 各曲の演奏者データなど Black Magic Woman 　Larry McCray- -
