布袋寺（平教経）
布袋寺は平教経の子孫である宮崎弾正二郎広綱の開基と伝えられ、大永年間（1521〜1528）に教経の念持物である聖観音像を祀るため、かつての領地であったこの地を開拓し二郎と名付けこの寺を建立したとあります。寺には清盛の自画像と伝えられる肖像画・琵琶塚碑面文字の琵琶・清盛塚移転時に出土したといわれる経石２個があり、兵庫区磯之町の宮崎氏分家より寄進されたものです。
It is said that this temple was founded by Miyazaki Danjo Jiro Hirotsuna,
a decendant of Taira Noritune, and that during the period 1521-1528 he
developed this former territorial land to build this temple as a place
to worship statues of the Goddess of mercy which was Noritsune's most revered
Buddha. Inside the temple are Kiyomori's self-portorate, a folding screen
depicting the Biwa tomb monument and two stones said to have been taken
from Kiyomori's tomb at the time of sit relocation, donated by the Miyazaki
family of Isono town in Hyogo ward.
