EXPLANATION OF THE MOSAIC ART
Please send one or more丂images(揹巕夋憸) as an attached file of e-mail.
Based on the image, we will produce a blueprint乮愝寁恾乯 for making a portrait
丂(man, woman and pet).
You will arrange 8 color cubes on the board乮妟斅乯 while looking at it.
How about the Mona Lisa, the dog and the cat, as examples at first. (^^)
乮侾乯 CUBES乮僉儏乕僽乯
The material is gum.
There is a hole in the bottom of each cube.
The 8 colors are black, gray and white and so on.
These colors have color number, respectively.
丂丂丂No.1 is black and the darkest.
丂丂丂No.8 is white and the brightest.
The total number of the cubes are 4800(=60亊80).
The size of the cube is 6mm亊6mm亊6mm.
乮1mm=0.039inch乯
乮俀乯 BLUEPRINT乮愝寁恾乯
The size is 297mm亊420mm.
Column number 1 to 60 and row number 1 to 80 are written
into the yellow frame around.
In each square of the blueprint, figures are printed.
They are from 1 to 7 according to color strength of cubes.
No.8 corresponding to white is blank.
To array the cubes smoothly,
丂丂丂every 5亊5 square is enclosed by litter-wide lines(傗傗懢慄),
丂丂丂every 10亊10 square is enclosed by wide lines乮懢慄乯,
丂丂丂every 20亊20 square is enclosed by extra-wide lines乮嬌懢慄乯.
The color number and the totally used number of each cube
are written below the blueprint.
乮俁乯 BOARD乮妟斅乯
The material is gum and so flexible.
There are 4800(=60亊80) pins on it.
To array the cubes smoothly,
丂 丂丂丂there are grooves乮峚乯(5 longitudinally and 7 transversely) every 10亊10 pins and
丂丂丂each end(in the yellow circle) of the grooves doesn乫t become covered with cubes.
乮4乯 FACTURE乮嶌昳乯
The size of a facture is 360mm亊480mm.
Enjoying it from a distance of at least 2m(1m=3.3ft), it would look clear and beautiful.
Because total number of pixels are only 4800,
      the target is one even if many people and pets are seen in the image,
       and the facture consist mainly of the face as examples.
In case of printed picture, it is good that it乫s taken as a image using digital camera.
Please note that, If there were spots or creases near the face of target
in the printed picture,they might have become seen in the facture.
乮5乯 TO MAKE A GOOD FACTURE
It is also possible that the best image from 1 to 3 ones is selected and
the blueprint is produced .
Please note that ,for example, in case that
a man乫s hand or fingers near the face of one dog are seen in the image,
they will have become seen in the facture.
It is good that target乫s face in the image is not cloudy and dark but clear and bright
and that the background of the face is solid if possible.
乮6乯 DIFFERENCES WITH JIGSAW PUZZLE乮僕僌僝乕僷僘儖偲偺憡堘揰乯
All of the pieces are cube and uniform.
All of the pieces are available for another facture.
The facture's impressions are different depending on the distance from it.
All of the pieces and board are gummy and flexible and look high-class.
The work will have been finished in a short time for one or two days
on holiday when you get used to it.
乮7乯 ARRANGEMENT乮僉儏乕僽偺攝楍乯
The 8 color cubes are arranged from top left of the board
while looking at the blueprint.
First 5亊5 cubes are arranged.
Secondly 10亊10cubes are done.
As often as the arrangement of 5亊5 cubes has been finished,
 it is good to mark 仜 in the blueprint.
Thirdly moving to immediate left, 10亊10cubes and then 10亊60cubes are done.
In this way you will arrange the 80亊60 cubes.
乮俉乯 THE REASON WHY NOT BLACK-WHITE BUT COLOR IS NO GOOD.
Light's three primary colors are red, green and blue.
Paint's three primary colors are cyan (light blue), magenta (purplish red) and yellow.
A image in PC or TV is very beautiful.
Because pixels constituting the image is very small in size and very large
in number.
But as for this mosaic art ,total number of pixels is only 4800 and each size is
6mm亊6mm and big.
So even if a facture is made by using 8 colors(for example, white, black, red, green,
blue, cyan, magenta and yellow and so on), the skin doesn乫t look like flesh but looks
like colorful many spots.
