i810switch

i810switch is a utility for switching the LCD and external VGA displays on and off under Linux. It was originally written by Antonino Daplas, and is now maintained by Ken Mano.

i810switch is released under the GNU GPL v.2.

* i855 users who have flickering problems may want to try the i855crt project to see if that works better.

If your chipset is not supported, it's not entirely hopeless. To test these chipsets, a couple of code modifications are necessary:

Note that this will only enable CRT support, as there isn't currently any LCD support for any of the i830-type chipsets.
